After redoing the pattern to ensure symmetry, I made another tie for the Mr.
Cut out the pieces, sew the 3 shell pieces together. Iron on interfacing. Sew on tie tip lining, invert and press. Fold edges inwards twice to hide raw edges and then hand sew the shell edges shut. More process pics in the tutorial.
The other side of the fabric has a more vibrant green but the Mr. prefers the more subtle colors on the reverse.
This is probably the most fancy fabric I have at the moment. If i make more ties, they’ll be solid colors. Unless… some shopping happens. I can’t though. Must resist! The fabric closet is still bursting with fabric.
