Painting: Sweet pea plant

I must have been bitten by the painting bug because here is another piece! The same leftover acrylic paints were used for this project. Decided to add a frame by using clear tape to mark the sides and to hold it to the table.

My inspiration came from my mini garden. Months ago, I purchased a packet of sweet pea seeds, thinking, “SWEET peas? That sounds yummy.” Not realizing until too late that they’re not meant for eating.

So I took process pics this time.

Started with light green

Added dark green

Added yellow highlights

Added buds and flowers, some brown

Added black

Black pen to add detail

Let paint dry, gently remove clear tape, and it’s ready for hanging!
